Gentlemen

I am soon to start a new job and will be 4 on 4 off shifts giving me so extra time to do "additional hours" a friend I used to know works for himself and has said he can get me a few extra data ind, commercial type stuff.

Is there anywhere you can rent meters from as it prob won't pay to buy a set for the odd job but I'm not willing to do the work unless I use suitable equipment.

Through general purpose I have all tools but not any meters.

Obviously I will get insurances etc but just wanted to know can u hire meters or get second hand ones reasonable any where not ebay

Thanks

there's a metrel up for sale in the for sale section of this forum.. some good bargains can be had from ebay, but you have to be wary.

I'd just buy an MFt off fleabag, prob get a 155-sommat for a few hundred notes. By the time you've rented one a few times you'll be the winner.

like houses. Better to be renting it out than paying rent.

Anyone recommend a place to buy obviously I can scower the net but if ppl have recommendations.
Also makes models I have personally used megger before but work paid so wasn't fussy.
We used to have individual meters for everything elip, IR etc but can ppl suggest reliable make and model of an all in 1 and I'll do some research ?

Appreciate this guys !

Unfortunately, test-meter don't seem to sell Fluke (although they will calibrate them). I guess it's a commercial reason, although personally, I think it's a bit of a drop-off.
