Am on the Lookout for a Multifunction Tester .
Must be Calibrated .

Would like to buy One if someone is Selling . Must get One within Three Weeks 14/9/10
Megger MFT 1553 . ??
Fluke 1651B 17th Edition Multifunction Tester ??

:D Any Vies on them Please . Lenny / Phil

I got a megger 1553 and have used it doing PIRs alongside the company guy using his robin my megger seemed a lot easier to use so much so we both used it more than the robin even tho we had to unplug and plug in leads ( both originaly set to 13a plug and other had leads ) isswww were doing 1553onsite for 615 I think

1553 does not come with fused test leads so does not comply with GS38.

I recommend the Fluke 165Xb, as it comes with fused test leads, easier to read LCD screen, and takes 2 less batteries thans the greedy 1553 ;)

(And the Fluke has coloured shrouds on the test leads so its easy to finf of they roll on the floor, the Megger has clear shrouds).

fused leads are redily available as for the wee footery shroudy thingys I have lost one alreadies :(:( batterylife was good using the supplied everyready energiser industrial some others on forums have commented about batterylife

i am a metrel guy so i can`t comment on the others apart from a mates fluke that was hard to use but i guess it`s what you are used to, also the megger getss great reviews on here and as the old saying goes so many can`t be wrong :) the megger has had great write up`s

Mike71 . Thank you . at this Stage am leaving my â–şOptions Opened Ps theres a good chance I.ll go for the megger ???
mike . it looks a Greate Tester . But the Appreatice is blind as a ! Bat ! hes already kicked my Mates Tester with the H&S steel toe Caps . nowing my luck he,ll bin it
can you take a Rain check on that mike . !!

DiLog 9083p it's basic, easy to use and fairly cheap. I run it on cheapo rechargable batteries and it lasts forever. Have dropped it once or twice and so far haven't had any problems with it.

The you for your Response . Rocker . I’ve. been on the I/net and had a Look . My views are still heading for Megger . I Hope !! but thank you

Personally Amber i would go for the megger 1553 great bit of kit and easy to use. Only bad point it is hard on the batteries.

I've used a few different makes of tester over the years.....Martindale, Megger, Robin & Kewtech.

Megger has always been my personal favourite though.

Thank you Lenny .
That has put the Nail in the Coffin !! . Your Perfectionism is Sound .
You & Phil has given Sound Advice .

I look in E/bay OPs . Flee / Bay for what they are Charging . I am Better buy one New .
Certification Certificate / New . and I Know its not Nicked Off / or Broken
( Some are asking more than they are Worth Second Hand )

I will be a Megger .
