Absolutely the best MFT on the market without doubt, is the one you're familar with, or take to initially. So if you've used Megger at college, get a Megger. If you haven't used any for long enough to get used to it, then hire or borrow a couple of makes and try them out.

They all do the same thing, just the user interface varies. They all have their pros and cons and their supporters and detractors.

Personally, I can't get on with Megger, and I haven't tried Metrel. I use a Fluke as I'm familiar with it and have no complaints on reliability or accuracy.
