Hello!

I am going to be testing 2 new radial circuits later this week. I have just printed out some test sheets and have been reading through them and ive got a little confused! (It doesn't take much)

The circuits are on a new single phase board, fed from a three phase db. It is on a farm.

Incomer-----Dorman Smith Switchbank 3p 100A mcb----------- 3p db------------New Sp DB which i have added the circuits to.

At the top of the EIC there is the details for the Origin Of Supply. Now the details required here are exactly what they say aren't they? The details from ORIGIN and not from the MCB for the new board.

The supply characteristics and earthing arrangements, do i do the supply characteristics for the new board. OR do i do a test sheet each for 'section of the supply' which to be honest seems abit excessive for 2 radial circuits feeding 3 sockets each!

Any help is much appreciated, if you can just point me in the right direction i.e. reg numbers or page numbers. I have every publication under the sun so if its in a book please just point me in the right direction.

your supply and earthing is that at the origin. Ze is measured at source, and the Zs at the sub-main would be recorded separately as Zdb2. etc.

Thanks Tel, thats as i thought but as with most things i assumed it couldn't be that simple!

Where you have used Zdb2 as an example. In this instance (nothing at all has been labelled) I labelled the db (DB-B) so would my Zdb figure be named Zdb-B. Again i realise this will probably appear a very idiotic question but i would just like to clarify :)

You would have thought they'd have a switch to flick on and off to engage an override. Not on each PIR but an actual light switch
