Testing led downlights

Just wondered if anybody could give me some advice please, i have eleccsa assesment this week and wondered what the best procedure is for insulation test on led lights.
would the inspector prefer to see all lamps removed (14) or is it better not to disturb the lamps and test at 250v instead.

Is it a new build or a existing installation?

If it a existing installation, you could just test the lives cables to earth and Lim the other boxes for installation testing. The other option is to remove a lamps from the circuit.

Test the circuit as normal but with the LED's disconnected from the lamp side of the switch/JB. Test the rest L & N - E.

Thanks very much, just a bit nervous, and want everthing to go as smooth as poss with assessment.

relax there not there to catch you out but i would remove leds there not cheap you can allways do IR TEST METHOD 2 LN TOGETHER TEST TO EARTH refer to GN3 good luck

If he does ask you to carry out the test on the LED circuit just explain what you are doing and why, he will probably be more impressed that you thought about it than spent time removing all lamps from the circuit.
