Hi

Newbie here. Great forum you have here. Lots of interesting posts.

I have a question -

I have recently passed my 17th and 2391. I have been asked to do a PIR for a pub in my local town.

Do i need to be in NICEIC or the equivalent or can i simply do the certificate myself. I am self employed and fully qualified.

Thanks for any advice :)

You can do the work yourself. It would be a good idea to get some professional indemnity insurance for carrying out periodic reports.

You would have thought they'd have a switch to flick on and off to engage an override. Not on each PIR but an actual light switch
