I have just spent a very long and boring time filling out a PIR form for a fully loaded 15 way 3 phase board and at the end of it ended up with an unprofessional looking document to be handed over to the customer.

This customer I'm happy to produce it to but others in the future I may not so what software do you guys widely regard as a good buy?? I dont need all singing all dancing... just easy to use, stress free and a professional looking final document that doesnt have the font of my handwriting!!

Any suggestions? My old boss who I speak to on the regular reckons Amtech, but I like to know the options before taking the plunge!

Cheers

look on ebay. plenty of generic forms can be done on pc or laptop and produce printed copy. cost under ÂŁ25 most of them

We use Formfill by Castline, it's very good but if Amtech were cheaper, we'd be using that.

On a PIR, my laptop is on site with me and all results are entered as the tests are done, saving loads of time and paper etc.

The reports/certificates look great, you get DB schedules at the press of a button and you get the option of sending the client a 'free' pdf file.

We'd never go back to handwriting!
