testing Zs and RCD

Hi all

On a Existing install when testing Zs and RCD at sockets does all current using equipment have to be unplugged or switched off

or is it ok to leave them plugged in

any advice grateful

i always unplug everything, if only to ensure that equipment has no effect on the readings.
