hi all

if you changed a cu and then obviously tested it i noticed part of the niceic certificates say the reference method for the cable well what if your customer doesent want u to disturb any floor boards or fittings to try and find this out ?

thanks again

Of course you do.

Take a switch off and see

Look in the loft

Are the walls stud walls or brick walls?

Is it a flat if so it quite often is in conduit or trunking

How old is the house?

What method is used where the consumer unit is?

If u cant work it out u shouldnt be doing a c/unit change

cool, thanks for the help both ! dont worry im not actually doing anything im just starting training and just lloking through stuff
