Maybe I'm getting old but I am really frustrated by these seemingly competing systems.
Background - my daughter has been on a day trip to France with her school with the instruction to text me when they are leaving Dover - so giving me about 2 hours "warning".
No texts, no imessages from her - so I try and contact her - my phone, also being an iphone will only send imessages and these suggest they are delivered....... no answer. I ask my son to contact her (he has a windows phone) and she answers immediately..... so what the hell....
It turns out she has her "data" switched off - so why do the imessages I send say they are delivered? She thinks she has contacted me, but the messages haven't arrived.
So my problem..... if I turn off imessages on my phone, they will go to my ipad. If I turn them off on both what would happen to any messages sent to me in this way (I have loads of clients who use messages rather than phoning and/or emailing!
Suggestions please!
Thanks
