the most bizzar call ive ever had , phone call was weve a problem with are electricity and most insistant i called round , so doing so i get there place in darkness so what do you think supply down etc no board switched off and the owner says were leaking electricity:confused::confused::confused: yes !!! switched power back on all ok ,so what was the problem ,a high electricity bill ,well average i thought ,ended up doing a 4 hour PIR to find nothing was watched and followed round the whole house every time i switched on a switch it was switched off as the electricity would leak out ,i the end i walked away saying wait for the report and had 3 calls since then asking if ive done it ,, report say's satisfactory

absolutly nothing wrong nice little install ,think ill give them the DNO's no when they ring next aint been paid for it either

just wiard ,

now, hre's an interesrting point. suppose an installation without RCD protection. high earth leakage. over time, would this leakage not give rise to increased bills.? even 30mA 24/7 for a few years couls addup to a few squid.

bill was less than my house !! dont think they had been there long they lived in a small cottage and this one was a larger house so i think that may have been the reason 4 lamps cost less than 20 to run lol ... dont you dare tell them that tel lol

Got to admit leaking electricity, that tickled me.

20 odd years ago a friend asked me to have a look at his mums immersion heater, he’d had a look at the wires in the terminal box and “couldn’t see any electricity going through them!” We were in the pub, I nearly choked on my beer.
