....that the 500 panel job you were just starting to work up the quote for actually had a 2nd building on a different plan, with another 500 panels on it.

it'd probably help if we'd been sent the electrical specs along with the plans rather than just the plans for the internal fit out, not sure I really need to know the colour of the paint, or the shelving plan tbh.

I'm glad to see they play the same games in the UK that they play here. We also get similar drawings, usually pdf's with well over a hundred layers that tell us the type of fabric to be used on the mezzanine umbrellas and the model number of the toilet roll holders which we obviously need to know about when quoting HVAC controls

I think I got us blacklisted by ARUP for daring to request that they at least attempt to send us the plans for the correct building next time they ask us to work up a system design and quote for them. I was a bit narked to find my design team had spent 2 days doing a 3d model of the building, and analysis of the spacing for 200 panels on a flat roof around all the HVAC kit only for them to then email through a 'revised' plan that was basically for an entirely different building.
