Just watching this on BBC1 and noted a trainer for a painting/deco course was told to train the apprentices to NVQ level in 16weeks... he turned around and said thats not possible, his company was dropped of the scheme!
This is an insight to the mass dumbing down all aprenticeships are been forced into now explain again about these 2, 4, 6weeks wonder courses for a sparky it would make becomming a painter more of a challenge than a sparky, its just taking the.........!

"You sparks don't know how good you have got it."

Whats scary is, he was deadly serious.

I reckon they spend the other 16 sitting around smoking. Either that or it takes them 16 weeks to do a weeks training because they're so high.

Ah yes but wouldn,t you be ? I mean if your doing your job meant you were ****** all day then what would you have to look forward to at weekends :biggrin:

Ah the paint fumes. Yes that could be it - I thought they were just stoned all the time.

The ones I work with take it to a whole new level on the weekends, they make Ozzy Osborne look like a boy scout...on the other Ozzy has the intelligence and motor skills of a brain surgeon compared to those guys....they do make me laugh though
