Went to do some work at the local chippy last week and couldn't believe the faults i found.
1) No main CPC to the board.
2) No main Bonding
3) 2 circuits interlinked (fed via 2 mcb's)
4) ringmain on 50A mcb
5) normal sockets in an area that gets hosed down
6) lighting on 20 A MCB
The owner informed me that an electrician had done the CU change and all upgrade work about 4 years ago and nothing has been altered scince.
And for this quality work he was charged ÂŁ600
Think he got a bit of a shock when i pionted out the problems, seeing as he only wanted an extra light and socket installing.
