Ok I no the new gn3 and regs don't come into effect till June but my question is about the new Eli values given in the new gn3. Ok so a 32 amp c type has come down from 0.58. To 0.55. But if you look in table a4 in the new gn3 a 6amp c type has come down from 3.09. To 1.76. Now is this a mistake by the iet because. That value has dropped 1.33 ohms the reason I'm asking is that testing high bay lighting today and though my readings will pass as there under 3.09. Come July they'll fail as there above the new disputed value of 1.76. Your thoughts please

strange hoe the IET has rewritten ohms law, but still got it wrong. a lot of the Zs figures stated are incorrect.

I'm going to phone them Monday tel ha ha think they'll admit there mistake or better still give me a new book I am right aren't I that's why I was testing the water with you guys before I phone up

so if i did an installation using undersized cables, it's OK coz' the customer can download the right size of cable from my website. :ack2:

The IET don't consider the mistakes as being much of a problem, as very few electricians use either GN3 or the OSG.

A C6 is 2.91 Ohms now.

Table A4 page 121 on C types is almost completely incorrect. Download the amended version of the amendment lol.
