Got told on Saturday that I was goonered and given the old expat months notice, but flying home on the 13th.

The Saudi adventure was coming to an end really earlier this year but I managed to stay on for a few months but the inevitable happened. So lads back home, beginning of winter, worse recession in living memory................lol isn't life grand

So I'll be keeping in touch on here a little more, most likely get a van and some of these new fangled gadgets that lift floor boards for you, and cut out chases and be joining the throng

Sorry to hear that Malc, there's work in the offing in Myannmar just now sounds like the usual expat deal but the £s are outstanding. Then there's all the usual oil and gas stuff kicking around. I'm sure you'll not be kicking your heels too long mate.
Rumour also has it that the rebuilding of Libya is about to go into overdrive

Can't seem to get any news on Libya mate, there were plenty of rumours flying about over here about it starting but nothing seems to be moving forward.

To be honest not sure what i'm going to do. I've spent nearly 30 years working abroad and now at 58 not sure I want to be away so much from the family.

This last trip was to help my last daughter through Uni and she as a year to do, but then her masters, but we can stomach that really. I have loads to do on the house and garden, but if I take 6-8 months to do it all then I'm 59 and well it becomes harder to get back into things.

Will look again after Christmas, until then house husband and keeping you lot in order
