seen it,very interesting programme.I always say you should sit at the back, after all I,ve never seen one reverse into a mountain lol.

i always ask for a seat with the black box flight recorder, coz. they always recover that.

I saw this on a news board, some fool had made a comment about how easy it was to fly a plane by remote as was demonstrated on 9/11 and I'm now having a great laugh mocking a conspiracy theorist.
He said that the "supposed terrorists" had been interviewed on TV since the attacks, I asked him for a link to it. He then told me that youtube had taken it down because they didn't want the sheep to learn the truth. So there you go people, youtube is the only outlet for video on the net and they're also involved in the cover up which now must surely involve tens of thousands of people. Not one of them has ever let the cat out of the bag.
What a bunch of nutters.

It was interesting, but the back survived because the nose hit the ground first. If the tail hit first (Which has happened) then the results would be opposite, so I believe the best place to sit is in the middle, near the emergency exits onto the wings, well thats where you'd have the best odd's of survival without relying on nose first or tail first landing.

I was intrigued by the 'Brace' conclusion..it seems it has a better survival rate, someone I know told me that it was purely for identifying bodies, so you don't get decapited, your head ends up in your ---..easy to know who you are lol

It was an interesting programme but I got the impression there are too many variables to make a decisive conclusion - in this case the front end broke off and they reckoned anyone sitting around that area would perish, the engines remained running but the plane didn't catch fire. That could be because they used a Boeing 727 where the engines are around the tail, while on most planes they are on the wings.
Leaning forward and bracing seemed to be a good way to avoid concussion, but it introduced the risk of broken ankles, which you don't really want if the plane catches fire and you have to get out.

Surely, despite what this programme may or may not have "discovered" the fact remains, if you're in a tube of aluminium hurtling towards the ground from thousands of feet up, chances are you're going to die
