That come with brushed chrome sockets and switches etc. Do we usually fit them or leave them out? I think they look terrible but was wondering is there a reason for fitting them or is it installers choice?

They are designed to be used when they are being installed back on to fresh plaster, as it can leech into chrome and tarnish it.

Even on dry unpainted plaster.

So do you have to keep them on or only till the plaster is dried out after a few months?
