Hi all, could someone tell me how to test a thermistor on a boiler, do you use an insulation resistance tester?

Many thank`s

I wouldn't megger a thermistor, no.

Basically a thermistor is a temperature sensing device which can be used to break a circuit when a part overheats or, be used to trip another device on overcurrent etc.

A continuity test will confirm wether or not a thermistor is working properly.

Depends whether it is a positive thermistor whos resistance increases with temperature or a negative thermistor whos resistance decreases with temperature.
