My first wiring of sockets in a radial and I've not put the 2nd CPC in to make the CPC be a ring, in accordance with figure 7.6 on the OSG.

I guess I'm going to have to take up the floorboards and run a single of CPC...?

How do you all wire your Radial Socket circuits?

Ta,

Si

Ah that's a relief.

Oh! I've just seen that too, for circuits between 3.5mA and 10mA, yeah?

Thank you. I didn't THINK I was doing it wrongly, but then I saw that reg and started doubting my self.

Thank you Malcolm and IQ

Sorry, I don't have my regs book with me on my day job, please can you clarify or define?

It's lounge sockets circuit.

Where a socket outlet circuit is expected to have a protective conductor current in excess of 10mA (in normal service) then additional requirements are needed for the integrity of the CPC.

That's what section 7.6 of the On-Site Guide is applicable to.

its handy to keep your books with you in van or boot of car allways handy to refer to

I work in IT support by day, but yes, the BRB is in my car. I found my OSG in my rucksack under my desk though, so had a quick look and found that indeed I had mis-understood section 7.6

I was going to look in the BRB at lunch, but thought I'd message you all here first, as I was unable to find anything after a quick perusal of the OSG.

But thank you all anyway.

Mr Si, you sound a lot more conscientious and knowledgeable than a lot of 'qualified' sparks I know.

Fair play for even bothering to check, most would just say "Ahhh it be fine".
