thinking of starting up business in glasgow

i am an electrician working as a subby

id love to start the ball rolling on working for my self doing domestic work in the glasgow lanarkshire area

anyone else trying the same?

If it's like the rest of the UK (going by lots of posts on here) then there will be plenty of people doing what you're doing.
That shouldn't dissuade you though, if you're good at all aspects of the business then you can succeed, won't be easy though.

Yes I do.
I wouldn't really like to be starting up in this climate though, especially in a place like Glasgow, which (no offence intended) isn't as affluent as other places in the UK.

no i know what you mean mate hard enough getting books in etc up here

iv just landed lucky im subbyn for an english company

but id like to start up while i have a constant wage coming in

the thing is i dont know anyone who has done it

any tips
