Hi

I am looking for the following but wholesalers look at me and stare!

Little screws that hold an isloator cover in place in the meter cupboard under which is an isolator provided so that the supply can be cut before the CCU. I have lost the one I took out today becuase it dropped and I cannot find it. It has a little hole in the top just like they seal the meter with and I need to purchase some. Anyone have any ideas please. I have tried the DNO but they referred me to electrical wholesalers and round and round we go!

Thanks PP

personally I would spend 5 minutes to see if an M3.5 screw would fit or M4, then if no joy call supplier and inform them meter is damaged.
IMO the contractor's switch cover does not need sealing, so any machine screw of correct length and thread will do, you could even retap to 3.5 or 4mm if you are that worried.

usually you will find similar in some henley blocks. buy the henley block and pinch the screw.

Agreed it does not need sealing but I use the screw to put my own seal on so that isolator is not turned on again whilst i am working on the installation but thanks for the reply.

Fair enough. I take the tails out of the meter if its remote from the CU, tape the ends up and stick a sign in the meter box/cupboard.
Only an idiot would then re connect while i'm working on it.
