To all the members of this Trainee Section I have to say this:-


This is your section of the forum!

Simple as that really. Within the T/S you can post up any question you have regardless of how daft it seems and no one will have a go at you for it. This is not the "open forum" where people have a go at every silly question.

Every Mentor is vetted before being allowed into here. Each Mentor has a certain quality that he can bring to your forum, it's up to you to use their expertise.

To be quite honest this is going to be the best chance you have at asking those questions you've got whilst in the classroom and then on site. Use it!


If you feel too shy to post up a question, fine. Just send a PM to anyone of the Mentors and we will get back to you.

You have a direct line to people that are just as good as your lectures(some of us are lectures!).

Perhaps a list of the mentors would help, I know of only 4 for definite, that's Paul, Howard, Marvo and me.
As Paul says though, don't ever be scared to ask. The only stupid question is the one you don't ask. I've had a few of you ask questions via PM and I'm completely ok with that but on occassions when something is raised which I thought would be good for open discussion because it would benefit everyone then I've told people to open a thread about it.

Where has widdler gone? and also Telectrix knows his stuff, and Tony is a motor expert amongst other things, and there are others, with the exception of widdler, the others may not teach it, but they know there stuff and can put it across without problems. Engineer 54 puts some good stuff up as well, although he knows that i don't agree with his opinions about EAL and we have crossed swords more than once. But setting his opinions aside, he is a clever bloke.
