Hi All,

I am currently receiving flyers and e-mails from my local Electricbase branch, They seem to be offering some cracking prices and im thinking of going down and having a look around. Just wanted to put my ear to the ground before I go and possibly open an account with these guys.

Does any body have any experience they could share good or bad as I know they are fairly new to the market??.

Thanks in advanced

Never heard of them before, if they are new to the market then they are probably giving good prices now to lure you in and then the prices will rise to normal in a few months.
However still worth a look and see what sort of range they have and the service levels available.

I looked on the website earlier they do a DP double hager socket for ÂŁ2.10 all in which is cheap.
Along with the rest of the hager gear which i use a lot of.
Have been using Yesss electrical but I'm getting bored of their make up the price as they go along strategy.
Any other recommendations?

Thanks for the response guys.

I had to go down and check them out.

All the lads in the office seem quite clued up, they gave me a brief explanation of why the company was set up and turns out all of the staff that work for the company are from other wholesalers so they seem to have quite a bit of experience.

They managed to beat my current buying prices from other wholesalers straight out before I even told them what I pay, to be fair some of the prices were outstanding.

I mentioned to them something along the lines of what Walsall posted above that its easy to sell the basics, They agreed that they have a lot of feedback from people who think they are a little tin pot company, however they shown me around their stock and they had everything in the back from domestic to industrial and full fire/alarm kits. these guys are deffinatley set up to compete with the big boys

Ill be filling my account form out for them, what’s to lose? Any extra money in my pocket is always a bonus :).

Thought id also mention that if you set up an account with them you can also access the other grafton companies such as Hirebase and Buildbase on the same account, could come in useful I suppose.
