If you had an approved JIB card then just take the 2382-20 17th course and away you go.

You could take a PART P course it's basically just a seminar on the regs concerning Part P and it will help you fill in the Certificates, no exam involved but a nice little piece of paper saying you attended.

Hi malcolmsanford

To be part p registered you must have 17th edition / test gear with calibration ticket / ÂŁ2m insurance / regs book's
if you are thinking about signing up go with elecsa they are very good and they are getting big . I see more elecsa
electricians in my home town Littlehampton then NIC EIC . I was with nic for 3 years and found very hard work plus
the test certificates are a nightmare compaired to basic part p ones . alot of people said you cant work on council
property but i am still doing it and the council have no problems with it as they are ECA . Napit is a funny one because
they let you do D I and industrial work but on insurance for commercial / industrial premisses they will let NIC EIC / ECA
electrical contractors to complete electrical work .
with napit you got do your 2391 every 5 years what a joke
all the best fella

Thanks luke much appreciated but it was Finns Dad that wanted to know.

Interested though in your last bit about Napit wanting you to take the 2391-10 every 5 years, ( I assume and not the 20 ) Did they say why? As this is a very interesting development as if they are the only scheme insisting on this, they may have a lot of stuff for sale when people leave them in their droves
