Timer photocell and overide on off

Can someone help me out please. Need to have a timer, photocell and manual overide switch for on and off. I cant see why this set up is needed, do i need a auto/hand type 3 way switch. Any help very much appreciated.

This is a common set up tbh which allows the lights to be over ridden during the day time or in the event of a faulty photocell. Yes use a 3 position switch.

Ours are set up where the timer is used as a fail safe for the photo cell, so that either /or bring on exterior lighting. So no 3 position switch on ours. Manual override is provided by the timer position switch, not that it's ever used mind...
