Just thought I'd share a thumbs up for TLC-Direct - competitively priced and delivered to site next day.

I don't religiously use one wholesaler as the one in my town (no names.....), has unfortunately and traditionally been a headache by quoting and invoicing different amounts.

Electrifix have served me well since a new, local branch of screwfix opened recently but TLC-Direct prices seem to be far lower.

I have had a few dealings with TLC and I totally agree with you.
When the delivery guy dropped off my stuff to my next door neighbor and it magically disappeared, they sent out the replacements straight away, with no hassle.

By the way, the gear was signed by someone visiting my neighbor and stolen by him. I couldn't prove anything though..robbing @£%$&^**()"!**!!!!

TLC deliver to my area twice a week and I buy more than half of my materials from them. They're generally competitive, although there are a few things that are worth buying elsewhere.

I find their website easy to order from; you know exactly what you're going to get and how much you'll pay. (They knock a small amount off the total if you order more than about £100, but I ignore it for pricing purposes.)

Pretty much everything on the website is actually in stock or quickly available.

They sort out any problems and accept returns on faulty gear without quibbling.

Definitely recommended.

Good company to have as a supplier. Of the 3 I use, tlc were the first and take the bulk of my requirements. The bimonthly comprehensive catalogue is great to have in the van for estimates and showing customers what's available. The only gripe I have is the local branch to me only delivers about once a week to me but for planned jobs they are hard to beat. Open Sat am too..

I am TLC user and very impressed. Nothing ever missing from on order. Good delivery service. They will try to source items if they do not ordinarily stock them. All the useful and usual brands.

Gotta be honest, I don't find TLC in the least bit competitive when it comes to pricing materials.

1.5mm T&E I get for £20+VAT/100m, 2.5mm for £27+VAT...TLC way more expensive. Same with pretty much anything I look at, they aren't even close
