Need a new TN-S Earth Clamp, where will stock them?
My local supplier doesnt and only stocks gen earth clamps for copper pipes etc

be very carefull if you are going to renew the suppliers clamp as if you tighten to much you can short the line and neutral as the insulation is very brittle

Its the electricity suppliers responsibility to provide you with an adequate earth,( unless you are TT.)
get them to sort it.
if you overtighten and cause damage,:) it will cost

Not sure whether they have a legal responsibilty to provide an Earthing facility anymore.....although if requested they will usually oblige..............but only in their own time !
It is correct that the Standard type earth bonding clamp is not suitable for attaching to lead...be it a cable or a pipe although we have all seen it done many many times :D

If they provide an earth connection TNS or TNCS they have a responsibility to maintain it.

951 bonding clamps MUST NOT be used, as there is a danger that they could crush the internal conductors and cause a short.

Yes Jason I agree "If they have provided it originally"
Incidentally in spite of it conravening The B.S. stipulation for its use.DNOs have been known to use them on the incomers lead shaeath themselves....Not recommended at all I know, but they work to their own regs and are certainly not bound to comply with bs 7671,.....one rule for them and another for us mere mortals !
