and get PSCC and PEFC. if they are identical the it's TNC-S

I know the answer, but the previous sparks on the job appeared not to!

And yes Malcolm, two supplies.....and I'm still trying to find what the second one serves. I haven't got access to the next door property yet but I'm guessing...........

Indeed, it is TNC-S. Not sure why the previous spark was convinced it was TNS; in fact he argued with me over the phone!

Still trying to find where the second supply is going. My initial thought was originally storage heaters on an off-peak supply, but no signs of this. :>)

Not normally the done thing to bring an extra supply in for night storage heaters unless it was a huge house ................my favourite is that it's feeding next door. Is this commercial or domestic? Only ask for the galv trunking.

Not nesseseraly TNCS just because it has an earth block on the side doesnt mean it TNCS there are alot of TNS systems that use that exact same set up but instead of bringing the earth outside from the sleeve they have gone into the cutout , a Ze test should confirm it though

not necessarioy. a reading of under 0.35 could still be TN-S

I would certinally agree that there are loads of TNSsystems with a set up like this, however, the PSCC and PEFC test would confirmthis….usually.

Well it's definitely TNC-S (there's a link in the cutout - I've got x-ray eyes!), but some well made posts about not assuming and always measuring/checking, 'cos it's not always obvious.

It's a domestic property, second in a terraced row. I've not had a chance to check out the second supply in detail but will when I get back to it and have a proper rummage around.

Regards all.
