My new flat has a supply cable that has a sheathed phase multiple sheathed neutrals and about 6 bare copper earth cables in it.The earth cables go straight to the MET this to me makes it a TNS system but I thought all new buildings were TNCS .Please could anyone advise

Sounds like split concentric^^^^

If it is chances are it's a sub-main from the main intake position elsewhere.

Is your electric meter and DNO cut-out in your flat???

yes meter and cut out are in flat and your picture is exactly the cable i have coming in so is it TNS or TNCS

If the earth has a separate block that is split out from under the trousers of the supply, then its TNS.

If the block has its earth supplied from the side of the cutout then its TNC-S.

Are the neturals and earths in this cable if seperated be looked at as if they were one core? like stranded cable making up the same CSA as a solid core?

The total of netural conductors on that cable must total the same size CSA of the live phase conductor? is this correct?

Im just wondering why you would choose to use this cable instead of any other, what are the advantages?
