Hi again guys,
Hope your all well.
Can anybody clarify the following please.
We are wiring a kitchen / dining room extension in a victorian house.
The owners want additional sockets in the living room which is no problem. NOW THEN, they want the new sockets to be level with the existing ones, which are cut into the 8 inch high original skirting boards !!
According to the regs, new builds and refurbs, cannot have sockets in skirting boards for fire hazzard reasons, is this correct or can I put new sockets into the skirting boards?? Would you ??
The ccu is a wylex unit non rcd, just mcb breakers, the new board we are fitting for the extension is a 17th edition split load RCD board (they dont want to pay extra to upgrade their wylex one ).
Thanks guys for all your help and advise so far. You are the best !!
