Is there a max distance stated in the regulations that a flex can be used for a fixed appliance

I'm not getting your query, flex is to be treated like any other cable if used as hard wiring thus cable calcs used or do you mean an extension lead/reel?

Think he means flex used with appliances Irons, kettles etc

I take it you are talking about flex off FCU, to fixed loads,no distance required after bs1363 fuse, the norm is 3 meters , bearing in mind csa of flex and vd.
