well we`ll go for:

A)... a fart that just killes the workforce...we`ll call that a (1)
b)...a fart that is potent....but is ok (unless theirs some arcing)...thats a (2)
c)...a fart that was too small to be damaging to the nostrils....thats a (3)
otherwise just note you heard something......and carry on
