Tools for a trainee

Hi guys, ive just started training and wondered if you could give me an idea on some tools it would be worth me buying for my first year as a trainee, and also what would be a good make of tools for me to purchase ?

I'd start off with a CK "kit" but I'm sure others will have opinions....

That's the popular choice of my local wholesaler and friends who employ apprentices. Although to be fair, your boss should really be providing you with a basic toolkit like the one above and PPE as part of the apprentership package.

Bahco wide jaw adjustable spanners for swa glands (only for the smaller glands though). Knipex sidecutters i found to be very good, a decent headtorch is always handy.
