I'm an apprentice and I'm looking to buy some tools for myself. Where the best place to buy?

Also, toolbag or toolbox? And where from?

Help much appreciated.

Are you able to nip in to the wholesaler your company uses??? you'll be able to kit yourself out with the basics there. You may even get a bit of a discount.....depending on how much your gaffer spends.:)

You can get some good deals shopping around on the internet:
Screwfix.com - Power Tools, Electrical, Plumbing Supplies & more
TLC Electrical Supplies
Toolstation
Tool-Net: Power tools and hand tools suppliers (Bosch, DeWalt, Makita and much more!)

For more specialist stuff you might need to go to your electrical wholesaler, more generic stuff can be picked up cheaply from clearance shops.
As for toolbox/toolbag that's really down to personal preference; I got mine from Halfords for ÂŁ10 and I think it's great - I can close it to keep dust out, stand on it, sit on it, saw on it etc, but a lot of guys swear by tote bags like these: [ame=http://www.amazon.co.uk/Stanley-Fatmax-Open-Tote-Bag/dp/B000OOLOP2]Stanley Fatmax Open Tote Bag: Amazon.co.uk: DIY & Tools[/ame]

Cheers for the help guys. Can anyone recommend any decent hacksaws? Desperately in need of one of them at the moment.

I find CK too be the best make. Only place that sell's their product's near me is my local wholesaler. If you get decent discount and want quality product's go to your wholesaler but if not then use screwfix

car boot sales are good for tools ;-) and even to find out who stole your tool's in the first place ... B******s
