sorry probs didnt explain my self properly i dont want to go and buy a B&Q set of wire cutters as i suspect they wont last 5 mins i just wanted a few brands to look into if possible cheers ;)
CK,KNIPEX,IROZOLA,DRAPER,STANLEY,FACOM,can't think of anymore at the mo mate, hope this helps.

The Stanley Fat Max drivers are good quality, not to sure if their VDE are any good as I haven't used them only used the standard non insulated ones.

a always buy elliot lucas pliers, they are top quality and last ages, or nipex pliers are good as well, I think they cost about 15 quid a pair but they are well worth it, you don't wanna scrimp on pliers and screwdrivers as these are the tools you will be using most

ive used ck, irazolla and bahco all very good, i do alot of service calls rather than install just got a nifty little kit made by wera with interchangeable blades great when in towns etc put in my bag with job sheets and meter and away then just a small organiser box with fuses etc
