Hello all, in need of some advice. I have just installed 14 downlights (two circuits of 6 and 8) in what used to be a living room and dining room - the wall has been knocked down in between the two and rsj put in. I have wired for 2 gang two way switching at either end, so either side of the rooms downlights can be controlled from both sides. The switched live feed from switch to 6 lights is on one side of the room and the switched live for the other 8 is the opposite end of the room. The client has now decided she wants dimmers, at both ends, so I had a look around and came across these: 2 Gang 2 Way 250w IQ Master Remote Touch Dimmer Switch - Georgian Brass . The question I am asking is, will I be able to use the 2gang 2 way master at one end of the room and the 2 gang 2 way slave at the other (bearing in mind one of the switch live cables is at where the slave switch will be situated). Has anyone wired these up like this before? Can I still connect a switched live and live to the L1 + L2 of the slave switch? Hope this makes sense, for some reason I found that hard to explain! :freak:

I just realised that the instruction leaflet with wiring diagrams is on the website. Turns out you can wire them this way. Cool

"It works" and "it's safe" are not necessarily the same thing. With DIY work, they are often far from the same thing.
