Hi

I hope someone can help - I'm not electrical literate though so I'll explain this as best I can!

I was putting a new light fitting up and tested it while connected - the light worked fine. A little later I was about to fit it to the ceiling properly but I accidentally touched the circuits in the rose and it tripped all the house electric off. I switched it all back on and when I went to switch that light on to test it, the whole house went out again. This continues - switch electric back on, turn particular light on and everything goes out. It's wired up correctly, so not sure what's happened.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks
MArk

sounds like you have trapped a wire when you screwed it up. undo it and check

yes agree trapped wire or you've screwed the base up through the switchwire, but first just disconnect the outgoing ie; light fitting leaving the base up and try again its possible a fault within the fitting
