Noticed in the last few days the latest stock /models have arrived . The large open tote with rigid handle and clipping system is amazing..... ÂŁ71 worth looking !

Here’s another.

Large capacity, easy carrying handle, and waterproof base for sitting in puddles.

ÂŁ2 from Wickes

Reminds me of a builder I know, who has an old bucket full of old tools, (well, lump hammer and chisels mainly), that he inherited from his grandfather. He refuses to buy any new tools, and still to this day continues with his old bucket of scrap.

I do like the open tote style for convenience, however they tend to get filled up with dust and crap very quickly, which is rather annoying. Plus you have nothing to stand or sit on.
Or to cover to stop other trades spotting Gucci gear and stealing it etc or rain etc . Thats why i love private work . !!

Yeah, or when other trades happen on it and "borrow" a tool when passing. I remember not too long back when I got in from a job to find an extra set of plier grips in my tote bag. Unusual to gain a tool on a site! No doubt someone was in the habit of borrowing and then returning but had mistaken which tool kit they had borrowed from.

Seen it before with expensive batteries .Thats why all my tools are etched with my initials .I worked on a job and noticed my 2 x 5 amp batteries seem to just not "feel right" .I then noticed both did not have my stamp on them .One other guy had swapped them over and claimed it was a mistake . I asked what part of a mistake is classed as going into a tool box placing his old batteries inside and taking mine .His boss just shrugged ... There is a well know guy who is a tool junkie and has Billions worth of Festool etc etc . He sprays everything with pink paint . boxes, batteries and tools etc . And Festool still cover the guarantee etc as they understand why he is doing it and he is a big customer !
