I'm currently working as a Controls and Instrumentation Technician. Aside from my C&I qualifications and experience I hold the following electrical qualifications:

C&G 2365 Level 2
C&G 2365 Level 3
Booked to take my C&G 2382 18th Edition exam in a few months.

Really want more electrical experience and to obtain the NVQ Level 3, complete the AM2 and become electrically 'qualified'.

I'm planning on asking my employer if I could work 1 or 2 days a week with the electrical team. If I do this for around 2-3 years could I build up enough evidence to complete my NVQ portfolio?

Just looking for advice, I just want to be seen as competent electrical-wise and it's more to support my Controls and Instrumentation career (want to be E,C&I rather than just C&I).

Josh
