Hi all,

Looking for some advice here.

I am NICEIC domestic installer and am looking to progress on some more training/qualifications. I completely understand a lot of guys not having time for the 5-day wonders and i also believe that its a bit of a joke that you can do a 5 day course as apposed to a 3 year apprentiship. However I have bills to pay and needed some work.

I am confident with my work now but really think it would be benificial to take the time to go back over the general theory, get some more teaching put accross. I do at the moment only plan to work on domestic properties, what would you guys advise as far as developing my career???

Any advice is welcome and thanks in advance.

If you have the 17th Edition you could try the 2391 Inspection and Testing, maybe try the foundation one first. Other than that, it's back to college in September for the 2357 Technical Certificate and NVQ 3 (combined). If you get any info on how you get on applying for this course and working self -employed as a Domestic installer, the I for one would be interested to learn a bit more about how routes to accreditation are evolving.

Nice one.
