Is it OK use a non-transformered Inverter , I have sourced a what
looks to be a cheaper G83 inverter ,but can it still be registered under the FIT??
It has does G83/1 but does this mean it still complies to the rules , whats the /1?

Transformerless Inverters are ok to use as long as you earth the array frame properly (according to DTi guidelines) and use a Type B RCD to prevent DC injection to the grid. If the inverter has an RCMU internally a Type A RCD will suffice.

how much cheaper is a transfornerless inverter and how much is a Type B RCD, and also time and money to earth the array, to be i'd always shy away from using them??.
