Hi there,
Have enclosed a photo of a Three phase 11kV/400v Oil cooled transformer, Year 1990...A Brush transformer (Hawker Siddeley)
Could anyone help with the name of Part No 13.
Many thanks.

No “over voltage” not over current.

Over current is taken care of by the OH line fuses.

Correction - meant to type over voltage but brain saying over current,
one other question -(open to anyone of course) 'What is your personal opinion
of Lutec 1000 Generator - lutec.com.au' ?

An extension of Tesla's work I feel but not 100%

As Tony says, ''over voltage spark gap arrestors, these are often called lightning arresters, or arc horns. But they also protect against upstream switching voltages, which can cause high transient over voltage, that can do damage to the insulators and the windings themselves... But mainly installed for lightning protection. These ''arc horns'' can also be seen on over head line insulator strings, basically doing the same thing ....protecting the insulators!!
