Tri-rated cables

Been informed today that Tri-rated cables have a higher current carrying capacity , can anyone point me to a table or formula to check this? Thanks

Tri rated cable is so called because it meets the requirements of three different international standards. Not because it carries 3x the current as is commonly thought.

the only thing i remember about tri cable it had a thicker insulation than others and was harder to loom,used it alot in control systems

Tri-rated cables also comes in different strand no's the more strands been for different job applications and this may also alter the current carrying capacity.
