That is the price point I was thinkingI was thinking it would sell for ÂŁ60 max !
Their website suggests they'd like to sell plenty to the DIY market.
Got to admire their optimism.
Might try the LAP. My robin is not that loudYeah their competition which is what I use is a LAP plug in voltage tester that screams like hell.. Can hear it no problem in pretty much any house, commercial you might have to walk to the stairway to hear it but at about ÂŁ10 so much cheaper... Nice idea but for me compared to my plug in voltage tester its too big so would not keep it in my tool tote like my tester and way to expensive for the 1% of times it would save time over my plug in tester, but then the amount of time to go dig this thing out would negate any time saved anyway...
asking the owner about the BS aspectDoesn't seem to meet regs in that it is not BS standard for the type of device. At least they don't mention that. I would not trust that device for safe isolation as it is RF, things could go wrong and get a false negative/positive. The price, yeh the price pffft!
