Hi all.

A while back I had a minor accident in the garden that resulted in my punching a concrete slab.

Basically a cowboy turf company laid the turf on top of the slabs rather than removing as requested.

I badly bruised the right middle finger between the two joints.

This never fully recovered an sine I have developed trigger finger.

Very painful in the morning and painkillers don't really help.

I did notice that that was the finger I used with drills. I've now managed to retrain the muscle memory to use the index finger but middle doesn't seem to improve.

Anyone else suffer and, if so, how do you deal with it?

Thanks

Dave

TL;DR
Bashed finger
Hurts ?
Had it in my thumb a couple of years ago. Used a brace initially in bed and driving but after a year it was almost locking in place, very painful. Pain killers are pointless because if it is trigger then the lump on the tendon is sticking though the axials.
The doctor prescribed a steroid injection to the joint, not pleasant but after a couple of weeks it was gone. It can return and if the injection doesn't work an op is the last resort.
