Hi All

Been asked to install some wall lights, customer does not want me to chase cables in walls at present. It it is a downstairs flat with no access to above. My intention is install a FCU on the ring and surface mount in trunking. I want to know if any one knows of a quadrant shapped trunking that that i can run up a corner and along the coving. Not the best solution I know.

Thanks

Only quadrant shaped trunkings I know of are in larger sizes....I would have thought MT2 size trunking tight into the corner on the vertical with MT0 along the edge of the coving would look fine. Only problem for me would be the drops to the wall lights, whatever you use thats going to look naff, would the client accept short chases from coving to wall lights?

the rise and fall light reminds me of one of my first bits of electrical work, we used to have one over the lounge and it broke, my dad got one of his pals to replace it but not the big orange glass shade that hung from it, about a month later a couple of my mates came over after school and my best mate said watch this to one of the others and he proceeded to pull the live pendant off the ceiling, luckily my parents were out and I managed to get it fixed before they returned, 1986 G-d I am old we used to have brown and orange walls wood panelling and a bar for snowballs cherry brandy and cresta floats

If these cable runs are going to be chased in eventually, then why not super glue the cables to the wall. With a little matching paint and they will almost disappear!! Got to be better than either trunking or clipping!! I did a run of cable using this method on a circular concrete column (2m) for an alarm detector at a friends commercial building in Cyprus, worked a treat!!!

[h=1]Hello all, Good question. See every one wants not to pay more charges in cabling and all. your idea is good to put trunking. One is LCD TV cable corner conduit cover tidy trunking and other solution to avoid cabling is Decorative Trunking, Cable Tidy Units, Cable Tidy Tubes, Cable Tidy Accessories, Floor Cable Cover and Cable & Plug ID Kits.[/h]
