Hi, Just doing some work in the garage for sign off, the garage is fed TNC-S from the house, with the addition of an earth to an adjacent spike, as in TT. There are no extaneous conductive parts in garage. trying to finish the paperwork on this and how to describe the arrangement.

Comments welcome

disconnect the earth rod and measure Zdb. assuming that the garage has a submain, and the TNC-S is present at the garage, no need for a rod.

OP, I think what the forum gurus are saying in a round about way is that if the tests were within spec, you didn't need to TT it, however, if you did, and seperated the earth from the main building so be it. In which case the garage is a TT.

Forgive them, it is nearly beer o'clock.

Hi flyer,

Just wondering; are you just doing some work in a garage which was already, when you arrived so to speak, in the described set up? Or did you do all that you describe as part of the work. Just re read and not clear, am thinking maybe you might have just installed a ring final circuit in the garage for example. And are wondering how to describe the existing set up on a cert.
