guys why not just flag everyword on the site with @ symbol in it. that would work

i imagine the crawling tools that search for emails look for it and only copy it into a file if there is an @ symbol its what i would do if i was trying to copy keywords out of a file directory

its no different to typing *.mp4 in explorer on windows and a simple safety measure

All gone mate and cheers Geordie

It's my pleasure Bonny Lad.

I'm always pleased to get one over on a Mod.

It's like when Plod :bobby:eek:nce pulled me over cos he thought I was going a bit too fast and I pointed-out to him that his car was illegal cos its offside headlight wasn't working.. Bliss .... Pure Bliss!! :sailor:

I don't suppose there's much chuckin' fance of you translating that into the Geordie language for me so if you can translate it into British English I'll manage it from there.

I know I must be slightly dyslexic but is it just me or does anyone else read the title as 'tutor needed a slap'?

No Stan .. It's not just you. I thought he needed an app - one of those mobile phone thingies that I know nowt about. :dunce2:

I'm beginning to think I'm a dinosaur ..... Do we have any smileys or "badges" of a dinosaur on here?

Stop press ...... just seen that TV commercial for Galaxy chocolate - the Audrey Hepburn? take-off .... Pure class - better than most of the programs!!

Aye ... ok - I'm a sad old barsteward. :(

I also read it as tutor needs a slap. And if he can't get someone through the 2382 he probably does.

Email is still visible in Des 56's quoted post.... Pull your socks up mods :D

We don't have any hard and fast rules about posting email addresses as long as it's not advertising etc or anything illegal or unsavoury abut it. We only remove them for the good of the poor souls who are unaware of the implications of posting them, if a member is aware of the risk there's no reason an email address can't be posted and often I suggest they actually consider the risks and suggest they edit their previous post themselves to remove it if they change their mind about the wisdom of it.
