I dont normally install coax systems hoiwever im renovating my own place so wanna do all my own.

Requirments:TV point in 2x bedrooms, 2x TV points in lounge.
I dont have any sky, virigin,bt etc but i would like to wire it so i coulkd have thius at a later date.and be viewed in all rooms.

Iv seen the 2g plates with tv, 2 sat point and fm so i guess thats a start for the main tv point in the lounge. and maybe a 1g sat/tv point for other side of lounge?

connect digi aerial to uhf of booster.then a coax to each point for bedroom connect to out 1 and 2.

I dont know about sky dish and connection at that and connection at booster and lounge points.??

Can any1 help me with this or have a wiring diagram. iv seen a few but they all have sat reciever etc.

regards Robo

think were you will put the box and install sat1 sat2 tv& a return (4 sat cables) upto loft and from loft to each point in the house you will have enough to watch sky round the house then if you can put in cat 5/6 aswell cause thats what they will be using soon too a (loft box 12 way amp) does cctv aswell

Are you post switchover? If so amplification is rarely required. It is not uncommon to be able to run 6 / 8 points of an indoor aerial.
I also try to avoid wall sockets as I view them as unnecessary connections which damage the characteristics of the cable when it is kinked trying to get the faceplate to sit in the backbox. Perhaps that is why so many people use amps because they have destroyed perfectly good signal by effing up the cable.
The distribution referred to in the post above is analogue distribution and therefore of lesser quality as well as being a pain having to switch the tv from digital to analogue. Additionally when switchover is completed shortly will we be able to buy a tv with an analogue tuner?
Personally I try not to combine signals unless I have to (insertion losses, combiner losses, splitter losses etc plus the amount of noise introduced) and with a 'clean sheet' you have no need to.

we have had the digital switch over. iv decided on splitter/amplifier location. There is no loft space so amp in a cupboard. Iv already got a cable to bed 1 and 2. I would ideally like face plates because they look a lot neater in my opinion as in the lounge im having 2 alternative point incase the room gets changed around. i hasve some 35mm deep boxes.

this is what i know.

Cable from digi aerial to amp uhf
cable from outlet of amp to each bed.

I dont actually have the sky dish so need to know how many cables and where to connect etc, im future proofing incase i ever decide to have sky and its not posible to run cables on outside to where i have tv.

So any info on dish, cable connection at dish and amp etc would be much appreciated

Sorry, wasn't trying to give the impression that I think you should never use face plates, if you are just making provision then there is little choice. However, if you know you are going to have a tv somewhere then this will hide the outlet so I would prefer not to use one - if you do move the tv then then you may wish to retro fit faceplates to neaten it up.
Sky dish LNBs are usually four output or eight output. Two cables from the dish to each receiver means that you can run two or four receivers without having to use magic switches. So to answer the question I would run two cables from each proposed / possible receiver location to a point convenient to where the dish is to be located (the dish will be pointing roughly where the sun is at 11 am in the morning at this time of year).
Personally I would not bother with uhf analogue distribution (distributing the sky pictures) as you would have to look to achieve levels of around 65dB at each point whereas you only need signals around 30dB less for digital if the signal is clean (hence my dislike of wallplates and amps). HDMI distribution is the way to go for distributing sky pictures.
Don't let people con you, there is no such thing a a 'digi' aerial. Being post switchove I rarely have to amplify, I probably remove 10 amplifiers for every 1 that I install.
I live in a holiday area. Just before easter as everyone was getting their holiday lets available I had to go to four different properties for tv problems. 3 of these were down to wall plates, one to unecessary amplification
